I am “retired” i.e. quit working. I have a tough time when I meet people and they ask the inevitable “So, what do you do?” Often, I fall back on the “Well, I was a physical therapist or I was a stay-at-home mom.” But honestly its hard to put into words that I like to jog-cook-manage our finances-remodel our house-support our grown children-read books-try to train our dog-learn to play bridge but in reality my main passion/obsession is travel. I love to research, plan and work on frequent flyer coups- say hello to free business class to Thailand! But I also love to share my experiences and help others plan their trips.
Recently I attended a charity event where a friend told me I should start a travel blog and the next day I saw a community college offering to learn how to blog. I felt like Karma was telling me that this could potentially be a new way for me to share my experiences. Perhaps now when people ask what I do I can say “I’m a travel blog writer!”

Hi Cara, I’m interested in finding great deals on business class travel. For example, we are leaving for Vegas this Friday out of St Louis and I would love to snag a last minute airfare deal in first class or business class as it is a 3 hr and 40 min flight. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Kim,
Southwest is the only airline that flies direct from St Louis to Las Vegas in 3 hour 40 minutes. They don’t have a true business class as in you do get priority boarding and a free drink but no special seats. Other airlines have business class but they take longer and require a connection.
